چکیده

From 14] we know that maximum occurs at integer computations (integer timed sequences), we also know that all time transitions are bounded by a deadline, hence there is a nite number of possible values for the time sequences for under. Using a pigeon hole argument there must be a natural number n such that any maximum time assignment & for the word n has at least two time assignments repeated for a whole iteration .

Supplement to “ Complementarity and aggregate implications of assortative matching : A nonparametric analysis ”

In this appendix, we state a number of preliminary results that will be used in the proofs of the four theorems in the main text. Detailed proofs of the results listed below may be found in Appendix C below. The proofs of the main results are given in Appendix B. The proof of Theorem 4.1 uses Lemmas A.1 and A.2 below. Theorems 5.1 and 5.2 use Lemmas A.3–A.12, A.14, A.15, Theorem A.2, and Lemmas...

Some Lemmas to Hopefully Enable Search Methods to Find Short and Human Readable Proofs for Incidence Theorems of Projective Geometry

Search methods provide short and human readable proofs, i.e. with few algebra, of most of the theorems of the Euclidean plane. They are less succesful and convincing for incidence theorems of projective geometry, which has received less attention up to now. This is due to the fact that basic notions, like angles and distances, which are relevant for Euclidean geometry, are no more relevant for ...

A Proof-Theoretic Approach to Hierarchical Math Library Organization

The relationship between theorems and lemmas in mathematical reasoning is often vague. No system exists that formalizes the structure of theorems in a mathematical library. Nevertheless, the decisions we make in creating lemmas provide an inherent hierarchical structure to the statements we prove. In this paper, we develop a formal system that organizes theorems based on scope. Lemmas are simpl...

Fair Dynamic Routing in Large-Scale Heterogeneous-Server Systems: Technical Appendix

In this technical appendix we provide proofs for the various results stated in the manuscript titled: “Fair Dynamic Routing in Large-Scale Heterogeneous-Server Systems”. The technical appendix is divided into two subsections. Section A provides results that are useful to prove the Lemmas, Propositions, and Theorems stated in Sections 3 and 4 of the main paper. Section B shows the proofs of all ...

Lemma Mining over HOL Light

Large formal mathematical libraries consist of millions of atomic inference steps that give rise to a corresponding number of proved statements (lemmas). Analogously to the informal mathematical practice, only a tiny fraction of such statements is named and re-used in later proofs by formal mathematicians. In this work, we suggest and implement criteria defining the estimated usefulness of the ...
